Galway MedTech innovator continues to expand international footprint with focus on tackling chronic wound care

Galway-based MedTech company HidraMed Solutions, creators of the award-winning HidraWear wound care system, has been announced as an exhibiting sponsor of the upcoming Wound Healing Forum 2025, taking place in London on Thursday, 9 October.

The event, organised by Public Policy Projects (PPP) in collaboration with public and private partners, will bring together healthcare leaders, innovators and policy experts to tackle one of the fastest-growing challenges in healthcare: effective, equitable and sustainable wound care.

HidraMed Solutions’ sponsorship, which is in partnership with the company’s UK commercial parnet Mediq UK, reflects the company’s growing international presence and its commitment to advancing best practice in wound management. The company’s flagship woundcare product, HidraWear, was specifically designed for people living with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), a painful, chronic condition characterised by recurring wounds. HS wounds can have a devastating impact on quality of life and represent a significant, ongoing challenge for healthcare providers.

Speaking on the announcement, Suzanne Moloney, CEO of HidraMed Solutions, said, “We are proud to be an exhibiting sponsor at the Wound Healing Forum 2025. Chronic wounds, including those associated with hidradenitis suppurativa, remain under-recognised despite their high prevalence and impact. We believe innovative, patient-centred solutions such as HidraWear are key to improving both patient outcomes and healthcare efficiency.”

The sponsorship underscores HidraMed Solutions’ mission to develop disruptive technologies that address unmet clinical needs, specifically those of HS patients.
