Our Mission

To deliver life-changing wound care solutions to chronic wound patients globally.

Our Vision

To be leaders in chronic wound prevention and management, restoring dignity and quality of life to patients.

Our Primary Indicator: The Unmet Need in Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) is a condition that causes painful, recurrent lesions to form in delicate areas of the body. These lesions necessitate routine care, especially in challenging regions like the armpit and groin, areas unsuited to the use of adhesive bandages. The wound care industry has, unfortunately, neglected the unique needs of the HS community.  Traditional methods have either damaged these wounds further or haven’t been up to the task, leading many patients into distress, isolation, and mental health challenges.

Global prevalence of HS is between 1% and 4 %.

85% of this patient cohort are new to advanced wound care.

Over 50% of people with HS require specialist dressings for over 9 months of the year

Potential $2.4 Billion HS woundcare market in the US and UK alone

Our Story

Suzanne Moloney, our Founder and CEO, knows the trials of HS firsthand, having lived with the condition since childhood. The initial HidraWear products were born out of her personal need. Recognizing a global challenge, Suzanne engaged with the University of Galway’s BioExel program. Here, experts from various fields collaborated to develop advanced prototypes, kickstart clinical research, and secure initial funding in 2019.

Supported by Enterprise Ireland, the business and team has grown substantially since this time. We have secured reimbursement in the UK, US, and Germany, and have entered distribution agreements in these regions. The feedback from our initial market tests has been exceptional, highlighting benefits not just for patients but also for clinicians.

Our Product Range

Our patented HidraWear range represents a revolutionary approach to wound care. It empowers patients living with wounds in hard to dress areas to self-care, improving their quality of life and driving care efficiency for clinicians.

Our dedication has earned us multiple awards and, more importantly, the gratitude of patients who’ve seen tremendous improvements in their daily lives.
